ENGLAND FENCING Fast Track Level 1 Coach Development Programme, Tunbridge Wells, Saturday, 24/Sunday 25 April 2010

Fencers! Do you want to set foot on the coaching ladder to be able to help out with confidence with groups of beginners at your club?

Coaches! Do you want additional well‐trained coaching help you can rely on in your salle to deliver taster sessions and foundation (beginners') courses?

If the answer is yes to either of these questions then:

If you are a fencer sign up to the Fast Track programme being held in Nottingham on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April.

If you are a coach you'll know which of your regular club members might be a suitable noiminee for this programme ‐ encourage them to sign up!

But hurry, there are only 12 places available.

What: Fast Track Level 1 – an intensive 16‐hour programme to prepare you for assessment as a Level 1 coach in your chosen weapon.

Who: Any fencer (must be a member of BF) with minimum 12 months experience of club (and preferably competition) fencing.

When: 24/25 April 2010

Time: 09:00 to 17:00 both days

Coach Tutor: Steven Paul

Where: Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Cost: £175 (includes registration with England Fencing, course materials, CRB application form, textbook and assessment fee)

Need Help with Funding: Apart from any personal contribution, there may be sources of grant funding to cover all or part of the costs of the programme. Check with the Coach Development Officer of your County Sports Partnership (or its equivalent if a City or District depending on where you are and where you will be coaching) and with your club for possible subsidy.

On receipt of the fee and form a Joining Instruction and materials will be sent to you before the programme.

Please Note: This programme only provides the technical requirements of the L1 coach award. Registration as a coach will require a CRB Enhanced Disclosure check, attendance on a Safeguarding and Protecting Children seminar (£35) and a First Aid Course (if necessary) (£45).
